What is sugaring, exactly?
Sugaring is a natural hair removal method that uses a paste made from just sugar, lemon, and water. It gently lifts hair from the root with the direction of growth — making it smoother, cleaner, and far less irritating than waxing.
Does sugaring hurt?
Nope — you can head right back to your day. There’s no downtime, no mIt’s much gentler than waxing! Because the sugar paste doesn’t stick to live skin cells, you’ll feel less pull and discomfort — most clients say it feels more like a quick flick than a sting.arks, and no reason to hide out after.
How long does the smoothness last?
You’ll enjoy soft, smooth skin for up to 4 weeks. Over time, hair grows back finer and slower, making each appointment easier and your results last even longer.
How should I prepare before my appointment?
Make sure your hair is at least the length of a grain of rice (about ¼ inch). Gently exfoliate 1–2 days before and avoid applying lotion or oils the day of your appointment.
What if it’s my first time?
You’ll be totally fine — we’ll guide you through every step! Our team will make you feel comfortable, walk you through the process, and ensure you leave with skin that’s smooth, glowing, and happy.
What should I do after my service?
Keep your skin clean and dry for 24 hours — avoid hot showers, tight clothing, and workouts. After that, gently exfoliate 2–3 times per week and stay moisturized to keep your skin smooth and ingrown-free.
Can I get sugared if I’m pregnant?
Yes! Sugaring is 100% natural and typically safe during pregnancy. Many clients even find it more comfortable than waxing because of its gentle application. However, you should always check with your physician to be sure.
How is sugaring different from waxing or laser?
Unlike waxing, sugaring removes hair with the growth, not against it — meaning less pain and fewer ingrowns. And unlike laser, it’s safe for all hair colours, all skin tones, and has no downtime.
How often should I come in?
Every 4–6 weeks is ideal to maintain smooth results and prevent regrowth from thickening. Regular sugaring helps train your hair to grow back softer and sparser over time.
What Are The Terms & Conditions?
1. Event Eligibility
This promotion is valid exclusively during the Sweet Secrets 30th Anniversary Sugaring Event, running from October 20 to October 27, 2025, at all participating Sweet Secrets locations (Ness, Marion, and Waterfront).
2. Walk-In Basis
All services during this event are offered on a first-come, first-served walk-in basis.
Appointments cannot be reserved in advance, and wait times may vary depending on demand.
3. Discount Offer
Clients will receive 50% off regular-priced body sugaring services during the event dates only.
This offer cannot be combined with any other promotions, gift cards, or loyalty rewards unless explicitly stated.
4. Payment
Full payment for services is due at the time of service.
Sweet Secrets accepts cash, debit, and all major credit cards.
Taxes and gratuities are not included in promotional pricing.
5. Service Availability
Service availability may vary by location and technician.
Certain restrictions or exclusions may apply based on time, staff capacity, or suitability for specific treatments.
